Over the years, the members of our four Locals have been proud to support a number of community, local, regional and province-wide charitable causes.

Through our membership in the Building Trades of Alberta Charitable Foundation, our major contributions have traditionally been to help combat juvenile diabetes. In addition to making cash donations, our members have also been active participants in various local fundraising runs.

Many of our members have been proud to work as volunteers in support of Habitat for Humanity. We’ve helped build quality housing for many families in need.

The Alberta Regional Council of Carpenters and Allied Workers also made a huge commitment to the Glenrose Hospital’s Building Trades of Alberta Courage Centre, one of the most technologically advanced rehabilitation and research centres in Canada.

Through our annual Alberta Regional Council Golf Tournament, we are proud to support the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation Canada and the team at the University of Alberta in their mission to end Type 1 Diabetes.

Through our UBC Local 1325 annual curling bonspiel, we are proud to support Wounded Warriors, which helps Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, first responders and their families.

Finally, we are also proud to support Alberta’s Food Banks.
